Must See & Do

Must See - - -

  •  Boise River Greenbelt ~~The Boise River Greenbelt is a recreational and alternate transportation trail along the banks of the Boise River through Boise, Idaho, U.S.A. The Boise Greenbelt is more of a greenway than a green belt since its character is linear.
  • The Public Art Tour – Take a walk through Boise, and soon you’ll come across one of the many examples of our rich cultural heritage. Boise’s character is reflected in our buildings, our historic landmarks, and the diverse collection of public art found downtown, in civic buildings and in our many public parks.

  • The Village Meridian ~~ No, not the shops, although those are cool too, it’s that amazing water fountain! It has a choreographed water show every hour. With ample seating and outdoor play area for the kids, it is a great place to relax and unwind.

Must Do - - -

  •  Western Idaho Fair – Let’s face it- fried food, animals, rodeo and live concerts are a summer’s past time. And on top of that, you can spin on some fun carnival rides. This year’s theme – “Return of the Fair” is sure to please. Check it out: http://www.idahofair.com/
  • Alive after Five – Downtown Boise – Free, fun and family friendly. Do we need to say more?
  • The Soul Food Extravaganza is one of the longest running soul food events in the US - 2012 is our 20th Year!! AUGUST 4th 2012.
  • Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park – besides all the fun features most of our fabulous parks provide, you can even rent a fishing pole and go fishing on their pond. Located right across from The Village Meridian, this park has just about everything in it!

One of our favorite followers wrote: “Boise street art scavenger hunt. If kids are involved I like to get a roll of butcher paper and finger paints and go to the fountain at the grove. Mess and clean up all in one. Plus sometimes you get passing local folk to add stuff too.”
